Torbanlea is situated beside the Bruce Highway, about 34 km north west of Hervey Bay and 20 km north of Maryborough.
Torbanlea has a history of more than 100 years of
coal mining.
Visitors to Torbanlea can experience the atmosphere of a country
race meeting at the Torbanlea race track, when residents from throughout the district flock to the small town. Several race meetings are held throughout the year.
